Back in art school, I used to sneak out of the dorm and jam at a club across the tracks in New Town Sarasota. They'd let us white guys sit in and lay it down until the sun came up or we fell over. 
Only later did we realize that those wonderful sessions included Duane, Gregg, Dickie, Barry and various Bros. 
They went on to jam in small, smoky apartments, bars, Piedmont Park Sundays, and in front of a hundred thousand fans.
